What was it like writing my first M/m novel?

For our first, of what should be a weekly blog post, I’m going to start with something I’ve been receiving so many messages about lately.

Many readers have asked what it was like writing my first M/m novel. To be honest, it wasn’t all that different from the M/f novels I’ve written. I mean, sure the parts are different, and the internet “research” was in a different genre. But honestly the love was just the same.

Since I already knew Dylan and Shane’s story, that part of the novel was easier to write, but I’ll have you know, it shattered me just as much as it’s shattered you. Part two, Conner’s part in the story, was the one that worried me the most. He was a new character to the series and I knew Dylan deserved the best. I hope you’ll agree that when they come together, they work out perfectly.

So what’s up next from me? A lot! I’m working on my next book, which is currently untitled, but it will be another M/m novel. I also have a M/m baseball themed serial planned for the spring. Don’t worry, I haven’t given up on M/f romances. In the winter, I plan to work on From the Wreckage, a male / female love story about rebuilding your life when everything changes.

It’s crazy that Let Love Live has been out less than a month, but I have to say thank you so much for your support for these characters. I was nervous to send them out into the real world, but they’ve clearly made an impression.
